The fourth Wednesday of January is National Shelfie Day!
“What is a “shelfie?” you ask? A shelfie is a selfie taken in front of a bookshelf holding the type of books that you enjoy reading. Your library is the ideal place. There you can find all your favorites. If you enjoy action/adventure books by James Patterson, find a shelf of Patterson’s books, stand in front of it, and snap a quick pic of yourself. Maybe you love movies, find the DVD shelf and snap the shot in front of it. Magazines, computers, or audiobooks, you’ll find them all in your library. Pick your favorite and take a picture. Post the picture on social media, and add the hashtag #LibraryShelfieDay. Doing so would tell your friends that you’re totally into James Patterson’s action/adventure books. This is one little way you can show both your library love and your of stories. Doesn’t that sound exhilarating?
So grab your phone, head to the library, shoot that shelfie, and get that hashtag trending!
