Public libraries get by with a little help from their Friends…actually, we get by with a lot of help from Friends! Established in 1972, our Friends of the Library groups have given money to support children’s programming, Lucky Day collections, funding for new and emerging technology, and helping support staff training. In addition, the Friends have rallied countless times to advocate for adequate library funding.

October 17-23, 2021 is the 16th National Friends of Libraries Week, and it’s the perfect opportunity to give our Friends a big shout out for all they do to make a difference for us every single day.

Here in Dresser, we’re looking to start a Friends group. Would you be interested in getting involved? You can learn more by clicking HERE

Who knows? Maybe you’ll be the one to start Dresser’s new FOL group!
